Monitoring polluted sites
Geo Logica has decades of experience in the field of monitoring and verification of potential and acclaimed polluted sites, both in the context of municipal and illegal landfills and in the industrial field.
Leakage, metal pollution, contamination of groundwater and soil are among the activities that our society has most frequently dealt with over the years.
The characterization of polluted sites, in addition to the sampling and analysis of water and soil samples, is also carried out with indirect investigation methods, such as geophysical ones and more specifically electrical tomography, which allow the reconstruction of the geometry buried of the polluted site and pollutants.
Environmental sampling
The direct push system uses percussion instruments with dry advancement, which allow the discrete sampling, not only of the soil, but also of the interstitial gases in the non-saturated medium and of the groundwater in the saturated medium.
The operating principle of direct-push systems is similar to that of penetrometers used in the geotechnical field: a hammer pushes a series of rods to the desired depth, at the end of which there is a sampler suitable for the matrix to be taken.
Slope stability
The monitoring, rehabilitation and prevention of landslides represent the main activities of Geo Logica snc in the context of problems relating to slope stability issues.
The geometric reconstruction of the buried structures of the landslide body and of the typology of mass movement represents an activity that is addressed with different methods such as geognostics, geotechnics and geophysics.
